About the workshop
The JBI Scoping Review Workshop is a two-day program designed for clinicians, public health professionals, academics, researchers, and others who are seeking to determine the most appropriate review methodology for their question, with a particular focus on scoping reviews.
Through this workshop, you will explore the concepts and theories underpinning scoping reviews and other forms of evidence synthesis, and gain the practical knowledge and tools needed to plan and undertake a scoping review following the JBI approach.
What to expect
You will:
· Understand the purpose, value, and methodological features of scoping reviews
· Explore how scoping reviews compare with other types of evidence synthesis
· Learn how to structure and frame a review question
· Develop skills to design a review protocol and identify key steps in the process
· Gain insights into searching, selecting, and charting evidence
· Prepare for summarising and presenting review findings effectively
By the end of the program, you will be equipped with the skills to plan and conduct a scoping review that is rigorous, transparent, and impactful.

The workshop is structured around core modules, including:
1. Introduction to JBI and Evidence-Based Healthcare
2. Scoping Reviews in Context: When and why to use them
3. Framing a Review Question and Developing a Protocol
4. Searching for the Evidence
5. Selecting, Extracting, and Charting the Evidence
6. Summarising, Analysing, and Presenting Results
7. Reporting and Dissemination of Scoping Reviews
Delivery
· Dates: Wednesday 4 March – Thursday 5 March 2026
· Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm ACDT (Adelaide, Australia)
· Mode: Online, via Zoom
This program is ideally suited for participants in the Australasian region due to time zones, but participants from other regions are welcome if the timing works for their needs. · Cost: AUD $750 (credit card payment during registration, or invoice by request)
