    Event description

    The JBI gLocal Solution Room is a half-day event that focuses on the

    contribution of fundamentals of care (those care activities needed for

    every individual regardless of diagnosis, setting or acuity) to address the

    challenges and embrace the opportunities.

    Embracing quality in the organization and delivery of care in systems under

    pressure is both a challenge and an opportunity. This event focuses on

    practices that contribute to sustainable quality of care, patient recovery and

    well-being, while also embedding evidence-based professional development

    and team-building opportunities.

    Keynote Speaker - Associate Professor Karleen Thornton

    Karleen is a Teaching Specialist – Academic and the Academic Lead of Nursing within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University. She has a Bachelor of Nursing (Flinders University), Master of Nursing, Master of Education – Adult, and a Doctor of Education. 

    Karleen has worked within the South Australian public health sector for 37 years, of which over 20 years has been focused on nursing and midwifery education and research where she has held Nursing leadership positions with a focus on quality care delivery through targeted education for nursing and midwifery staff.
