This program is being delivered online via Zoom.

The JBI Scoping Review Workshop is designed for clinicians, public health professionals, academics, researchers and others to determine the most appropriate review methodology for their question, with a particular focus on scoping reviews.

What can participants expect?

This workshop enables participants to explore the theories and concepts relating to scoping reviews and other types of evidence synthesis and equip participants with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully plan for and undertake a scoping review following the JBI approach.

Course overview

The course is structured across nine sessions:  

Session 1: Introduction to JBI and evidence-based healthcare

Session 2: Introduction to evidence synthesis and systematic reviews

Session 3: Introduction to scoping reviews

Session 4: Developing your objectives, questions and eligibility criteria

Session 5: Searching and selecting the evidence

Session 6: Extracting the evidence

Session 7: Analysis and presentation of the evidence

Session 8: Scoping reviews and other similar types of synthesis

Session 9: Reporting your work

Delivery of course

This two-day workshop is being delivered by remote attendance via Zoom in ACDT (Australian Central Daylight Time), from Adelaide, Australia.  

Wednesday 4 March 2026 9.00am - 1.00pm (ACDT) to Thursday 5 March 2026 9.00am - 1.00pm (ACDT)

Due to the time differences between countries, this scheduled program is ideally recommended for participants located within the Australasian region however we will always welcome participants from other regions if the days/times can accommodate your learning needs - click here to calculate the time difference between Adelaide and your location.

Program details

  • The cost of the JBI Scoping Review Workshop is $750.00 AUD and can be paid by credit card during the registration process.

  • If you or your organisation require an invoice to be sent, please contact jbieducation@adelaide.edu.au

  • All training materials will be provided online.

  • Certificates are only issued to participants who attend all days 

  • Approximately one week prior to the program commencing, further training information including Zoom and resource access links will be emailed to participants.  

  • Registrations Close: Wednesday 18 February 2026 (unless sold out prior)
