About JC and the Tree

Indie Australian folk-rock fusion duo JC and the Tree create brilliant soundtracks for life that elevate the listener into timeless visions of all things connected to nature and the world beyond. Fans describe their music and writing style as intricate and complicated yet accessible and easy to listen to. Inspired by their hometown of Sunshine Coast in Australia, this duo writes melodies about all things from the mountains to the sea and life between. The heartfelt violin playing from JC soars as the warm rich tones of the Tree set a benchmark that transcends the ordinary music lovers ear. Their voices blend beautifully in harmony as they play their range of original indie/folk tunes. Motivated by their love of nature they offer native seeds with each CD or vinyl along with plastic free packaging. The duo have gone to great lengths to offer ethical and sustainable sourced merchandise. Music is a language beyond words and JC and the Tree are inspired to use it as a tool to bring all walks of life together.

About Hearty Fire

Hearty Fire is a solo project by Kristen Cobcroft, a songwriter from Leura known for her earthy and soulful story telling. Writing songs since she was 16, Kristen’s sound is a distinctive mix of powerful and tender vocals, paired with driving, nostalgic guitar. Her music is rooted in the indie folk-rock tradition and shaped by years of performance, inspiration from the local mountains scene and exploring her own style and voice.  Influenced by iconic storytellers like Stevie Nicks, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, Cat Stevens, Pete Murray, and Josh Pyke, Kristen’s songs are steeped in a love of tales, hooks, and good poetry. Her performances are passionate, natural and hearty and may even have you tapping your foot with her occasional foot tambourine.
