JCG Exhibition Tour: The Art of Slow Looking
Description
Join us for a Slow Looking tour at JCG on Thursday 25 June, exploring our current Christopher Pease: Terra Nullius and Reko Rennie: OA_RR exhibitions.
Facilitated by Mel Macaulay, Gallery Education Coordinator, this mindful practice creates space and time to connect more deeply with art. Rather than rushing from artwork to artwork, participants are encouraged to sit, pause, observe and allow the work to reveal itself, following where it leads their thoughts and feelings.
During the session, we will introduce a simple pedagogy for engaging with art through mindful observation and reflection. Following the tour, enjoy tea and coffee while sharing and discussing what you noticed, discovered and experienced together.
