Dr Armin Alimardani will explore how AI is changing legal research, drafting and practice, and the ethical and professional responsibilities future lawyers need to understand.

About the speaker

Dr Armin Alimardani

Dr Armin Alimardani is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law at Western Sydney University and Program Lead for AI and Legal Technologies. He directs the Law and Intelligent Systems Lab and the Legal Innovation Lab, researching how artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies are changing legal practice and legal education. He holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales, has consulted with OpenAI, and received a Teaching Excellence award in 2021. He is a regular technology commentator on Australian broadcast media.
