Keyna Wilkins is a trailblazing Australian/British composer, musician, radio presenter and human rights advocate. An unapologetically genre-bending creative force, her work merges her classical training with jazz, flamenco, and the avant garde, and includes First Nations and refugee collaborations as well as large orchestral works. Twice shortlisted for the Australian Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence (APRA AMCOS, 2018 and 2021), she has composed more than 60 art music works performed internationally and published by Wirripang, with broadcasts on ABC and commissions spanning television, film and theatre. She has released 16 albums of original music and performs worldwide as an innovative soloist, improviser and leader of cutting-edge ensembles. She is represented by the Australian Music Centre, and six of her compositions are in the Australian Jazz Realbook. Sonia De Freitas is a South Afrian-Australian musician and composer and radio presenter. ​​​Sonia feels energised when collaborating with colleagues on innovative projects that make a positive impact on stages and in communities. She is passionate about the intersection of creativity, inclusion, education and music, and has worked with Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Musica Viva Australia, Ensemble Offspring and more.

For this concert, Keyna will join forces with Sonia to perform some of their original piano duets inspired by nature and philosophy alongside re-interpretations of much-loved pop music classics such as Radiohead's "Exit Music".

For this concert vocalist and composer Jenna Cave will be joined by two leading voices in creative jazz, Paul Cutlan (bass clarinet) and Matt McMahon (piano); presenting a selection of Jenna’s songs from various projects, re-arranged for this unique trio line-up.

In recent years Jenna Cave has found herself drawn to writing and performing songs as a powerful means to explore, express and move through her emotional experiences in a transformative period of life. Music from the heart, her songs explore grief and loss, love and heartbreak, maternal love and hope, self-love, and mindfulness; framed in contemporary jazz, blues and soul-jazz settings.

Cave’s 2024 sextet album ‘Grief, Hope, Love’, a suite of songs commissioned and produced by ABC Jazz, features acclaimed Australian vocalist Kristin Berardi. In the same year Cave returned to her own vocal practice, and formed her Heart Songs group as a performance vehicle for her new works. In August 2026 she released her first single as a singer-songwriter, ‘42 Again (Live at Johnston Street Jazz)’, a duo with pianist Andrew Scott.
