Event description

Multi-prize winning South Korean pianist Jeonghwan Kim is the “perfect ambassador” for the The Sydney, and one of the most brilliant first prize winners in the almost 50-year history of this world-renowned competition.

Along with technical virtuosity, this exceptional young musician possesses striking emotional depth in his playing, which will be brought to the fore in a program that includes Chopin - Sonata No.2 Op.35, Liszt - Spanish Rhapsody and selections from Mozart, Schumann, Liszt, Bartok and C.V. Alkin.

Described by Artistic Director Piers Lane as “A very complete pianist and artist…” Jeonghwan Kim returns to Australia in the latter part of 2024 to perform in South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

Presented by Piano+, this promises to be a recital to remember.
