    Event description

Artist Jeremy Kay invites you to join him for his inaugural solo exhibition, AFTER HOURS.

In collaboration with ART AID, Kay's AFTER HOURS  is a solo exhibition that showcases the unveiling of a hidden world of beauty. Lightboxes are used to give his artworks a transformative quality that embodies the artist's dream-like creative state.

"The AFTER HOURS world is a place where reality is suspended, and the night comes alive. It offers a euphoric escape where anything is possible, and time loses its meaning."

Kay's works are created from a complex and mesmerising process involving the careful layering of resin to create a final piece that captures the viewer's attention. This repetition builds up the artworks texture and colour, creating an illusion that draws the viewer in and leaves a lasting impression. Each artwork is unique and has its own distinct personality, changing with the shift of light throughout day and night.

AFTER HOURS  explores the idea of transformation, and how even the simplest of things can be transformed into something extraordinary through the interplay of darkness, light, and colour.

We will transform the historic Bay 43 whilst also presenting a line up of Sydney most contemporary DJ’s including artist & producer Caleb Jackson.

25% of sales will go to Art Aid, with all profits going to Art Aid's newest charity partner Bali Life Foundation, an organisation dedicated to providing love and care to the disillusioned and underprivileged in Bali. Profits are calculated after covering costs of goods and services.

ART AID is raising $60,000 AUD to build a 'Free' school in Denpasar and will be accepting donations on the door upon entry.

RSVP Essential | Public Transport is advised | Circular Quay is closest train station
