Join Jersey City Connects for a hike at Stairway to Heaven!

THE TRAIL

• Distance: Approximately 7.3 miles round trip

• Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous

• Terrain: The first 2.5 miles are relatively flat, passing through boardwalks, a suspension bridge, and a cow pasture. The second portion includes steep, rocky climbs and uneven terrain.

• Duration: Approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, including breaks

• Experience: Participants should be comfortable walking long distances and navigating steep, rocky terrain.

EVENT TIMELINE

8:30 AM: Depart Jersey City

9:45 // 10:00 AM: Arrive at trailhead

10:00 AM: Begin hike

3:30 PM: Lunch

4:30 PM: Depart for Jersey City

6:30 PM: Estimated return

All times are approximate and may vary depending on traffic, weather, trail conditions, and the group's pace.

WHAT TO BRING

• Hiking boots or trail shoes with good traction

• At least 2 liters of water

• Trekking poles (optional)

• Snacks or a packed lunch

• Warm layers and a wind-resistant jacket

• A small backpack

• A positive attitude and adventurous spirit!

This is a group experience, and we'll aim to maintain a steady, comfortable pace with breaks along the way.
