A 1.5 hour beginners pottery wheel lesson for kids.

Participants do need to be at least 8 and taller than 130 cm in order to reach the foot peddle on the pottery wheels.

Want to work in the pottery shed and throw some pots on your own personal pottery wheel? Irene makes it fun to learn with step by step instruction and plenty of time to work on your own.

This single pottery wheel class is perfect for the novice or intermediate student; kids work together in a group class with up to 4 total students in the class - Students create 3 items - and the Studio trims your work then bisque fires your pieces- Pick up 4 weeks later (your parent will be called or sent a text to advise). You can then go on to paint your pieces with acrylic paint and seal with a varnish at home or request the pieces to be clear glazed.

Wear comfortable clothes, clay washes out of everything. Aprons are worn All materials provided.

Long hair should be tied back, and extra long nails should be trimmed.

Kids ages 8 to 13 are welcome and preferably have a parent supervising,

Young people over 13 may be dropped off - All attendees need a ticket to work on the wheel, parent helpers do not need a ticket and will not work on a wheel unless there is 1 spare.

Pottery left more than 30 days after parents given a pick update will be donated to charity - Class is 1.50 hours but expect 55 minutes of wheel time, 10-15 minutes of set up and 20 minutes of clean up at the end.
