2027 Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Programme
The JET Programme aims to promote mutual understanding between Japan and other nations, foster international exchange at the local level, and enhance foreign language education in Japan. Two types of positions are available –
Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) :
To assist in English language education at schools in Japan (teaching experience and Japanese language ability not essential).
Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) :
To assist local government offices in Japan in international activities at the local level (high level of Japanese language ability required).
*University graduates with Australian nationality are eligible to participate in the Programme from Australia.
