Jewel de Gelder's Last Hurrah

Please join us to mourn and celebrate the incredible epic life of our cosmic angel Jewel de Gelder at 75 Reid St, on Monday June 13th, at 12pm. Please come from 11:30am if you’d like to leave a message of love on Jewel’s coffin.

Wear your eclectic best, and please bring cushions, soft furnishings and other divine things to recline on in lieu of seating. Jewel wanted this to be in the key of 'I dream of Jeannie'

There will be limited seating for those unable to lounge on the floor.

You may also like to bring a favourite picture of Jewel to add to a photo board (you can take it home again afterwards).

After the ceremony, we invite you to stay and share memories, food and drinks, and music Jewel loved. This will be a rousing and deep celebration of her magical ways.

NB: There are a limited number of spots available at the ceremony space; so it is important you book in. It is a first in, best dressed scenario. There will be a  livestream of the service happening at Cherry Bar, for those who cannot get a ticket.

There is also an option to purchase a ticket. These funds will added to The Last Hurrah Funerals philanthropic fund for farewells for artists, skaters and people who die in custody. This fund is covering the cost of Jewel's service, and your donation will assist us to help more people with an awesome send-off who otherwise may not get one.

Just a note about food and drinks: there will be some delicious Thin Slizzy Pizza and some Thai Food from the folks at Tom Toon Thai at the wake, and also some booze and drinks available on arrival to toast Jewel as you sign her coffin, but we'd like to invite you to also BYO some snacks and drinks to enjoy during the wake as well.

If you can take your own rubbish home, that would be sincerely appreciated.

We would love everyone to be able to join us, however we ask that if you're feeling unwell, or experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 please stay home and watch the livestream of his service.
