Are you an employee or volunteer working behind the scenes to create events? Whether you're holding large Festivals, small gigs, sports carnivals, anything! - come and learn how you can be more accessible and inclusive when you plan your next event!
JFA Purple Orange in collaboration with Light Regional Council, are offering FREE training at The Hewett Centre in Hewett!
When: Wednesday 2nd September 2026, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Where: The Hewett Centre, 28 Kingfisher Dr, Hewett
This training provides practical tools and inclusive strategies to help you plan and deliver events that are welcoming and accessible to all.
Key Topics and Learnings:
Normalising disability and fostering respectful interactions for successful event management
Building confidence to plan events with accessibility in mind
Identifying barriers to access and applying the social model of disability to event planning
Learning about accessibility tools and inclusive practices for before, during, and after your event
Advocating for accessibility and championing inclusion in your organisation or community
Inclusive events don’t just remove barriers—they open doors to more diverse community engagement.
