Jhana Allan and Emmy Bree
Event description
Jhana is that rare combination of a musician who has a deep understanding of roots music and yet brings an entirely original perspective with her songwriting, mandolin playing, and fearless arrangement ideas. While her debut album Darkest Night shows her ability to live comfortably in the neo-traditional bluegrass world, her new EP Passing Shadow pushes those elements even further towards her own, completely compelling sound; rooted in her own experience, and reflective of the contemporary folk, rock sounds of Australia. Recently returned from recording her sophomore album in Nashville, Tennessee, 2023 is promising to be a fruitful year.
Emmy Bree writes songs about the mundane and extraordinary circumstances of everyday life. Weaving her training in jazz and contemporary music through the fabric of folk and roots song, Emmy charms with her warm, authentic style, her bewitching voice, and her fresh take on folk.Â
