Jim E. Brown & Andy Burns (Live in Sydney - The Trocadero Room) w/ very special guest Jay Katz
Event description
Roadrunner Tours is excited to present Jim E. Brown & Andy Burns live in Australia.
Manchester's Jim E. Brown graces Australia's shores for the very first time this April.
Performing a slew of hits from his oeuvre (including I Know I'm Going to Die of a Stroke, Bin Man and Squeal Like a Pig), Jim E. Brown promises to entertain and perturb his newfound Australian audience.
Co-headlining the tour will be Andy Burns, a chamber pop artist based in Perth. The bulk of Burns' music was recorded over a several-year stint living and working in Tokyo as a salaryman. He has released 3 albums and recently concluded a national tour with US banjoist Eugene Chadbourne.

Also performing on the night will be avant-punk luminary Jaimie Leonarder AKA Jay Katz.
Jay Katz is an underground Sydney artist. Whether it's his abstract noise band The Mu Mesons, bizarre film screenings, weird MCing, rare groove DJing, researching/lecturing on anomalous activity & his over-the-top performance art, Katz certainly delivers. Jay has worked with the best of them, Mike Patton, Wire, S.P.K, Arthur Lees "Love", Stereolab, B-52s, Boss Hogg, Swervedriver and the Village People just to name a few. Familiar to Australian audiences as a host of the S.B.S Movie Show and subject of multiple documentaries Katz has certainly done it all. Now in his mid-sixties, Jay intends to die live on stage. Come and see him supporting Jim.E. Brown where this may just happen at any given moment during his performance.
