Event description
Come and watch the pinnacle of the 18 Footers race season when boats from around the world line up against the all the Australian Racing Team's in the J.J Giltinan World Trophy Championship. Enjoy close racing watching the 18 Footers fly across the water so close that you can nearly touch them. It is hands down the best way to experience beautiful Sydney Harbour, "a hidden gem"
Once you board the ferry you will enjoy live race commentary, games and a bar where you can purchase drinks and chips. If you are a sailing fanatic this will be the closest you will get to racing boats as the ferry is able to get in the middle of the race course and follow the 18ft skiffs closely. Choose a team and cheer them on as the crews show their skills keeping the overpowered 18 Footers moving at maximum speed across Sydney harbour.
The ferry leaves Double Bay Wharf at 2pm sharp so please be on Double Bay Wharf at 1.50pm ready to board.
After the ferry please come into the 18 Footers Club to enjoy the race prize giving, with all the competitors.
