Jo Baee harp journey started when she began playing harp at the age of 9. She had performed in her first professional concert by the age of 11. She was awarded a high school music scholarship and in 2015 she completed Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance with a full scholarship and attained AMusA with Distinction. Once graduated she was accepted to be a full member of the Music Teacher's Association of NSW for both harp and cello.

During her 15 years of professional harp playing, Jo has thoroughly enjoyed her time teaching and performing as a wedding harpist. She also has been guest Principal Harpist for orchestras such as New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Canberra Symphony Orchestra.

As much as she loves her performance work, it had been Jo's dream and aspiration for a long time to become a harp technician - which eventually came true!

The technician dream began at the age of 15 when she spent over 3 years restoring her 1959 Morris Minor with her dad in their home backyard. This mechanical and technical experience led her to become interested in the complex mechanics of the pedal harp which she played every day. She was then accepted into the Lyon & Healy/Salvi technician program in 2018.

Jo completed her full technician training at Lyon & Healy Harps and Salvi harps mid-2023.

Jo is now a qualified, independent harp technician. She is a certified member of the Lyon & Healy/Salvi Technicians Guild. She undertakes regular service trips to both metro and rural areas within Australia. She really hopes that her passion and services will provide much needed harp care & knowledge to harpist of all skill levels.
