If you were an international actor, writer, cabaret artist and composer-

wouldn’t you write your memoirs?

During lockdown in 2021, multi-disciplinary artist Joanna Weinberg wrote hers.

60 years in 60 days, one year per day. Brief Tales is the result.

A ‘fascinating' and 'highly entertaining' life in the creative world performed in 60 minutes.

Told through the medium of female undergarments, this 'intimate and engaging' piece will keep you spellbound.

‘Like a combination of stand up and a Richard Feidler interview.’

Combines introspection with many laughs, original music and a whole lot of fun!

Joanna Weinberg is a prolific writer. In the last five years alone she has created, recorded and performed in her cabaret shows Pandora’s Bag, The Piano Diaries, and Baroness Bianka’s Bloodsongs, all of which were critically acclaimed and have travelled widely.

Joanna’s work typically features strong and complex female characters. Her musical about IVF – Lifeforce – The Mother of all Journeys, won Best Musical at Sydney Fringe Festival 2013 and the film Goddess based on her one woman show Sinksongs toured internationally, earning her a Critics Circle nomination for Best Music in a Feature Film.

Joanna returns once again to Avoca Beach Theatre, where audiences adore her fun sense of humour.
