Jazz at the Steam and Whistle, Cheltenham, with Mercury Prize-nominated pianist Joe Webb and his trio.

2025 Mercury Prize nominee Joe Webb is one of the UK's most captivating young pianists.

"There are few people more joyous to listen to at the piano than Joe Webb" Jamie Cullum, BBC Radio 2

Fresh off the back of the success of their debut album, Hamstrings & Hurricanes, Joe's trio will be performing music from the record as well as premiering music from their new recording, Neath Beat.

Inspired by performances together as a trio, Joe began composing music specifically tailored to double bassist Will Sach and drummer Sam Jesson. Their music draws on the jazz piano tradition while reflecting Webb’s Welsh roots, a love of 90s Britpop, and a deep connection to the music he grew up with.

His playing has earned support from Wynton Marsalis, Jamie Cullum and Gilles Peterson, as well as performances with RAYE, at Ronnie Scott's, and appearances on Later... with Jools Holland.

Featuring:
Joe Webb - piano
Will Sach - double bass
Sam Jesson - drums
