John Bray CLE: Building a Neuro-Inclusive Legal Landscape: From Awareness to Action
Event details
This CLE brings together research, lived experience, and practice leadership to explore what a genuinely neuro-inclusive legal profession looks like, for the clients it serves and the practitioners within it.
Our three guest speakers are: Professor Robyn Young, Clinical Psychologist at Flinders University; Sean Kikkert, a neurodivergent barrister (autism and ADHD) practicing in immigration and administrative law; and Maggie Yarak, Principal of YLP Legal, South Australia's first autism-friendly law firm. They will share their perspectives, drawing on forensic research, life at the bar, and the work of building an autism-friendly practice.
The session will move from awareness to practical insight, building a clearer understanding of where the legal system can better serve neurodivergent people, clients and colleagues alike, and what that looks like in practice.
All registrants will be sent a link to the livestream via the confirmation email in the days prior to the event and can choose on the day whether they prefer to attend on-line or in-person.
