Entry and Parking: Park and enter from Letitia Street (not the main gate)
Food and Drinks: BYO food. Drinks (alchoholic and non alchoholid) will be for sale.
A MESSAGE FROM JOHN
Our parliament doesn't reflect the diversity of the Tasmanian Population and I want to change that.
I know the majority of Hobart people are kind and welcoming. They support a more diverse parliament, and they recognise that I am running because I have worked hard to make life better for people over a long time, and I want to do more.
A lot of people have also asked how they can help. You may not realise that my campaign for the Legislative Council is self-funded. I have to raise all the money to pay for the materials and advertising I need to be competitive. As I work in the state service, I also do not receive an income during the campaign.
I have four children so this is a heavy burden on my family, but I am doing it because I truly believe I can make a big difference, and I don’t think how much money you have should determine whether you can have a place in our parliament.
