Johnsonville - Let's Talk Climate Workshops

FREE Workshops March/April 2024 - Workshops two and three run consecutively on this day with a lunch break 12pm - 1pm - it isn't necessary to attend both workshops, however you would get the most out of them by attending both.

- worried about the conflict over local changes, plans and projects?

 
Workshop 2: Let’s Talk Climate and how we got here
In our second workshop we discuss changes to our landscape over time, the local risks and what it means to you and your community. With a focus on how climate change can impact our social connections, health and wellbeing and how this underpins our collective ability to respond.

Workshop 3: Let's Talk Climate and what we can do about it 
In our third workshop we discuss what’s next? Hear from people working on local projects that are win-win in terms of meeting social and environmental needs and reducing emissions. Explore what your own climate action plan could look like, including at home, your neighborhood, wider community and beyond.

Our first workshop which we piloted in 2023 is about ditching the lectures, learning new tools to sit down for a good old kōrero with friends and whānau about what climate change means for us and what we can do about it. We are holding two online sessions on Saturday 16 March - book here if you would like to attend.
