    Event description

Have you ever wondered exactly what reparations mean?
Would you like to learn more about an avenue for putting action to your DE&I intentions?
Are you interested in learning how reparations might fit into your efforts to live a more just life?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, we hope you will consider joining us for an intimate conversation, facilitated by a Denver Black Reparations Council Member. Together we’ll explore how and why reparations is not just about cutting a check, It's about repairing a community.

    About the organizations:

Denver Black Reparations Council (DBRC): (denverblackreparationscouncil.org)

The mission of the Denver Black Reparations Council (DBRC) is to provide grants that are focused on rebuilding the institutions, religions, languages, and traditions within the Black Community of Denver and Colorado that were destroyed during the enslavement of African and African descendant people. The scope includes the repair of Black institutions that were wrecked and harmed post-slavery by Jim Crow, segregation, red lining, gentrification, mass incarceration, and violence on Black bodies. As a consequence, many institutions were prevented from coming into existence.
