Join the cast - Madagascar Jr - Presented by the Yeppoon Choral Society and Livingstone Shire Council

All cast members must be under 18 years of age, but can be as young as Grade 1 kids.

This will be a big day - you'll probably be required at the hall from 12-8pm

Performance 1: 2:00pm Saturday 13 April followed by
Performance 2: 5:00pm Saturday 13 April

Join us for an intensive week of all things musical!

It is expected that all participants will be present for all rehearsals and all shows.

Children will learn dance and stage work and come together to put on two performances on Saturday 13th April.

This event has been subsidised by the Livingstone Shire Council, to the extent that the cost per participant (usually $100) is now only $50 for the whole week of rehearsals and shows!

Upon payment of the registration fee ($50), please note that $15 of that fee will be for child membership of the Yeppoon Choral Society.  This is for insurance purposes.  The remainder of the fee will be used to cover the licence fee, props, costumes, sets and other expenses related to the show.

Requirements per child:

• Black clothing (children may require a small costume addition, eg a feather boa)
• Covered shoes
• Daily lunches, water and hats (for meal breaks)

Participants must be in attendance from 9:00am, and collected promptly at the end of each day at 3:00pm.

We expect that each child who participates in this event will be compassionate and respectful toward staff and each other.  If there are any identified behaviours of concern throughout the program, the Yeppoon Choral Society will contact you in the first instance.  If this behaviour continues, the Yeppoon Choral Society may ask your child to exit the program at any time.  There will not be a refund provided.

If your child is sick or unwell, you will be expected to collect them within a 60 minute timeframe.  

If your child sustains life-threatening injuries, you give us consent to contact emergency services.

Your child may be photographed as part of the cast for promotional purposes, but please notify us if you have any concerns.

If your child has any disability or requires additional supports, please advise us so that we can ensure inclusion and accessibility needs are met.
