BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL x JAZZ MUSIC INSTITUTE PRESENT: JORDY STITT
Jordy Stitt is an up-and-coming Brisbane-based pianist who recently graduated from the Jazz Music Institute in 2022. During his studies and since, Stitt has had the privilege of learning from and sharing the stage with many esteemed Brisbane musicians including Dan Quigley, Graeme Norris, Charlotte McClean and Travis Jenkins. His influences encompass the likes of Hank Jones, Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole, shaping a mature personal style that blends traditional and contemporary elements. Stitt’s musical journey as an emerging jazz musician highlights a presence and a receptiveness that makes each performance a unique experience.
