✨ About José Medrado

José Medrado is a Brazilian spiritist medium and lecturer known internationally for his mediumistic paintings and demonstrations across Europe, the Americas, and Australia. For more than three decades, he has dedicated his work to charity through the organisation Cidade da Luz (“City of Light”), founded in Salvador, Brazil.

Cidade da Luz is a humanitarian and spiritual organisation that supports children, families, education, healthcare, and social assistance programs for vulnerable communities.

José Medrado began his mediumistic painting work at the age of 27, despite having no formal artistic training. According to his account, the spirit Renoir inspired him to “transform paint into bread”, using art to raise funds for charitable work. Since then, his paintings and demonstrations have helped sustain important social projects in Brazil.

🖼️ Live Artwork Auction

Throughout the evening, several original artworks will be created live during the demonstration.

At the end of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to acquire these unique paintings through a special auction. All proceeds raised from the artwork sales will be donated directly to Cidade da Luz to help maintain its ongoing humanitarian work supporting vulnerable children and families in Brazil.

💫 Whether you are spiritually curious, passionate about art, or simply seeking a unique and inspiring experience, this will be a rare opportunity to witness José Medrado live in Canberra.
