Josh Frydenberg on the economy, the political environment and his personal journey
Description
Josh Frydenberg joins CIS for a conversation on the economic, strategic and political challenges facing Australia. Few Australians have seen national leadership tested as closely as Josh. As Treasurer and Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, he steered the economy through the pandemic, before losing Kooyong in the 2022 teal wave that swept through the Liberal heartland.
Four years on, the Australian political landscape is being redrawn again, with the surge of One Nation while our economic trajectory is one of decline.
In conversation with CIS Executive Director Michael Stutchbury, Josh will discuss these and other important issues, and the evening will also mark the CIS launch of A Grateful Son, which traces his personal journey from the son of a Holocaust survivor to Treasurer of Australia.
Signed copies of A Grateful Son, currently Australia’s number one non-fiction bestseller, will be available on the night.
