Neil Roberts is a veteran house DJ, promoter, and charity event organiser with over 30 years behind the decks. Originally from Cardiff, Wales, he is now based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Australia.

Roberts immersed himself in Cardiff’s underground club scene in the early 1990s as a dedicated club-goer. He made the switch to DJing in 1995 and quickly built momentum by promoting and playing at iconic local venues such as the legendary Hippo Club (which he still references nostalgically in his mixes) and Emporium.

In 1999 he co-founded the hugely popular pre-club event FunkyDory, which won “Best Pre-club” at the Welsh Music Awards three years running. That same year he launched Offitsface.com, an early online dance music platform that grew into one of the UK’s most visited sites of its kind. Featuring exclusive mixes, DJ biographies, club listings, tune reviews, and a thriving forum community of over 10,000 members, the site attracted millions of visitors from more than 100 countries (peaking at two million page views per month). It earned national media coverage on Kiss FM, Galaxy 102, and even a positive review on ITV’s The Web Review. Roberts later relaunched it as Dancemuzik.com, which ran until 2010.

By the mid-2000s he had become one of Wales’ leading house DJs. He held residencies at En Rouge (Red Rooms) and Funkathon in Cardiff — booking international names including Axwell (Swedish House Mafia), ATFC/OnePhatDeeva, Rebekah, and Greg Vickers (Sankeys). He was a regular at Escape in Swansea and Godskitchen in Birmingham.

Reader votes in DJ Magazine’s poll placed him inside the world’s Top 150 (around #145 in 2002). This opened doors to major festivals, including four straight years at Escape Into The Park (Mixmag Future Heroes Tent and Defected In The House Arena). He also toured internationally, playing Ibiza, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Romania and other European hotspots.

His musical palette is diverse: funky vocal house, nu-disco, deep house, progressive house and 90's club classics. He became known for long, journey-style sets that took crowds through different eras and energies.

Roberts relocated to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. He has since become a cornerstone of the local electronic dance scene. He holds a regular spot at The Savvy Squire in Mooloolaba and organises the Seas The Beat Charity Boat Parties, the acclaimed Journey event: five-hour non-stop musical odysseys tracing 30 years of dance music, also Past : Present : Future >. These events support causes such as mental health initiatives and various other local charities.

Neil excels at longer, storytelling performances that keep dance floors locked in for hours.
