Journey Inward - Conscious Dance

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This is an invitation to anyone feeling the call to drop into themselves for an immersive conscious dance experience.

In honour of the seasons, Mountain Movement are offering a series of Autumn and Winter inspired conscious dance evenings titled; ‘Journey Inward’.

Winter is a time for going within. It is a time of reflecting, releasing and letting go so that we can make room for the creative energy, abundance and freshness that Spring offers.

The purpose of these evenings is to create a space for us to honour and embody these themes whilst moving consciously and with intention.

Where
Bamboo Buddha, Central Coast, NSW.

When

First event will be on Friday 30th June with a small number of additional evenings over Winter only.

Please arrive early as we will start at 6.15pm.

Tickets
Please note that there are a very limited number of tickets available given the space, however, this makes for a much more intimate and immersive experience.

Although we absolutely adore having children at Mountain Movement Ecstatic Dance, ‘Journey Inward’ is not suitable for children.

What to expect

  •  Heart opening + invigorating ceremonial grade Cacao
  •  Live DJ
  • A safe space to move freely and connect to yourself and the music without distraction. That means that all shoes, devices and chatting be put aside while dance is in session
  • Savasana + Sound Bath

Expect to be taken on a global musical journey inspired by shamanic, tribal and organic beats. Our DJ ‘Bloom Spiral’ will offer a mix of grounding yet soulful electronic infusions alongside blissful and etheric melodies, all woven together to elicit a deep sense of connection to self, whilst also inviting you to completely let go and surrender to the ancient medicine that is sound and movement.

Flow of the evening

We will begin the evening by dropping in, connecting and opening the space.
Participants will be asked to leave shoes at the door. If you would like to keep them on, however, that is totally fine.

Participants are invited* to partake in a heart-opening and invigorating cup of ceremonial grade Peruvian cacao. This sacred brew will allow us to tap into deeper levels of embodied awareness.

We will then move into 1 - 1.5 hours of ‘free dance’

To deepen this experience, we request that there are no devices in the space and any conversation is left for before, or after the free dance session. If you share a moment with someone, it is beautiful to honour that connection, however, to allow yourself and the other participants to fully immerse, we request that you let these moments flow and pass by and return to your personal experience.

We will end the session with
Savasana and closing of the space.

*Please note that the cacao and any other invitation to participate is 100% optional. The evenings are all about the self, that is; connecting with yourself and participating in whatever way you are feeling called to on the night, within the context of the event.

What to Bring

  • Water to stay hydrated
  • A shawl or item* that you feel called to move or flow with. This is not a requirement. The dance component of the evening will be completely free and without guidance.

*Please also note that this is a smaller and indoor only space compared to what we are used to at at summer/spring Mountain Movement Ecstatic Dance events. As such we request large flow toys such as hoola hoops and staffs etc be left at home.

We cannot wait to share this space with you all and are looking forward to meeting new faces and hoping to see some familiar faces too ;)

We are also looking forward to our Spring-Summer Ecstatic Dance nights back on Kincumba Mountain this coming Spring!

Much Love
Rhi & Jeannie (Mountain Movement)
