Abstract:

Many countries around the world are exploring and adopting digital technologies as a key driver for economic transformation in business, government, and wider society. This talk covers Singapore’s journey in encouraging businesses to go digital and seize growth opportunities in the digital economy. As digitalisation expands their attack surface, the talk also covers Singapore’s efforts to build national cyber resilience of organisations alongside their digital transformation journey.

About the speaker:

Veronica oversees the Safer Cyberspace portfolio in the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and is responsible for the national cyber resilience of organisations in Singapore. Under her leadership, the Agency established the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust certifications, which are national cybersecurity standards to guide organisations in managing their digital risks effectively.

Veronica takes an active interest in emerging technologies and was previously involved in developing technology roadmaps for emerging tech such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain in the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

Before joining public sector, Veronica was in a network engineering role, managing carrier-grade networks in a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP).
