Journey's in the arboretum - Summer Edition 

Join creative arts therapist Liz McCarthy for a morning of exploration and art making in nature. 

Set in the beautiful grounds of the Pearl Beach Arboretum, Darkinjung Country. 

Allow yourself the chance to slow down and experience nature, connect with like minded people and make art in a guided workshop setting. 


Workshop Structure 

10 - 11am 

Welcome, intro and then explore the arboretum at your own pace; take one of the many trails, observe a variety of tree and plant species, perhaps interact with wildlife, have your own reflective time and notice what you notice.

11 - 12pm 

Self-guided art making. Select from a range of different materials and art modalities to create an artwork that reflects your experience of journeying in the arboretum. All materials provided and no art experience is necessary. 

12 - 1pm 

Guided art making experiences - connect with other people in the group and contribute to a collective ephemeral artwork. 

Workshop Details 

The workshop will take place in most weather conditions. There is an undercover and indoor area at the cottage that will be utilised for shade/ shelter. 

Tea and coffee facilities are available 

Morning tea is provided. 

All abilities welcome. Ages 18+

Please chat about any accessibility needs as we will try and accommodate everyone who would like to participate. Venue is wheelchair accessible.
