JOY Trivia (a fundraiser event with a twist)
Description
Think you know your Kylie from your Kate Bush? Your Midsumma trivia from your Mardi Gras history? Spend a Sunday arvo proving it.
JOY 94.9 is taking over Grouse in Fitzroy for an afternoon of trivia, and you're invited. Round up a team, or come solo and we'll find you a table. Expect rounds covering pop culture, queer history, music, Melbourne and a few curveballs, hosted by longtime JOY presenter and volunteer David Hunt with plenty of JOY voices along the way.
Every ticket helps keep JOY broadcasting. For more than 30 years, JOY has been the voice of Melbourne's LGBTQIA+ communities, powered by hundreds of volunteers who make radio that reflects who we are.
There'll be a range of prizes awarded throughout the event, plus a small art auction and games between rounds.
We'll wrap up at 5pm, leaving plenty of time to kick on along Smith Street or stay put at Grouse for another round of a different kind.
Come for the questions. Stay for the community.
