The NYC Justice Peer Initiative presents The 4th Movement: The Evolution of Lived Expertise — a powerful convening where lived experience is not just honored, but recognized as leadership, strategy, workforce, policy, and systems transformation happening June 10th and 11th - St. Francis College in Downtown Brooklyn!

Now in its fourth year, this groundbreaking conference brings together Justice Peers, directly impacted leaders, behavioral health professionals, criminal legal system stakeholders, policymakers, advocates, educators, employers, and community partners committed to building a future where people closest to the problem are centered in the design of solutions.

This is more than a conference. It is a movement.

The 4th Movement marks the next phase in advancing the Justice Peer workforce from local innovation to statewide growth and national influence. Together, we will explore what it means to move lived experience into professional lived expertise — through workforce development, policy advocacy, leadership, economic opportunity, peer support, healing, and criminal legal system transformation.

At a time when systems continue to speak about people without including them, this conference boldly asks: What happens when directly impacted people are no longer invited to the table as testimony, but positioned as architects of change?
