JTVA Vocal Competition - Tier II Master Class
Event description
The 11th Annual JTVA Vocal Competition weekend is comprised of four separate events, each of which is open to the public. Two tiers of singers will each participate in master classes on Saturday, June 22, followed by a welcome reception open to all attendees. On Sunday, June 23, these two tiers will each compete for over $40,000 in prize money in the competition finals. All events will be held at the Valley Center for the Performing Arts, on the former campus of Holy Names University, 3500 Mountain Blvd. in Oakland CA. Parking is free. TIER II MASTER CLASS - SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2024 at 3:30 p.m.
Dr. Robin Fisher, Professor of Music at Cal State University Sacramento, will conduct a master class for
the 5 Tier II competition finalists. Tier II is for singers who are studying at or near the college level and
considering a professional singing career.
James Toland Vocal Arts is a San Francisco Bay Area-based nonprofit established to encourage and cultivate, through competition and education, the emerging talents of singers who aspire to a professional career in vocal performance.
