Event description
The fifth and final book in the much-loved Belleville series.
It is six years on from the end of the fourth book, Heirs and Successors. It is 1976. The three Belleville siblings — Richard, William and Julia — are now in their fifties.
After years of turmoil, life seems settled, except for a shocking betrayal that begins to unravel. As this betrayal is inevitably revealed, a child’s future hangs in the balance.
Cracks appear that threaten the Belleville family’s unity. Can this close family survive the upheaval that’s coming?
Against this backdrop, Julia is determined a new house will rise from the ashes of the original Prior Park mansion but not before the old house gives up its long buried secrets, casting doubt on the very origin of the Belleville family.
