    WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS

    Little mariners for ages 3-5yrs

    Let’s celebrate Albany’s Maritime festival by jumping onboard and dancing with Jess! We are inspired by everything under the sea. Little mariners will use their imagination to become dancing crabs, fish, seahorses or mermaids, and much more. This dance workshop is designed to create enjoyment and confidence though dance and includes free face painting.

    Sea Legs for ages 6-8yrs

    Gain your Sea Legs with this fun energetic, dance workshop teaching dance and movement inspired by the sea. Combing techniques from ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop to encourage dance, movement, performance and confidence.

    ADULT

    Ballet: Always wanted to try ballet? Here’s your chance! No commitment needed, just come along and try out one class! Both ballet and Latin Burlesque are for beginners or those with previous experience.

    Latin Burlesque: A fun and theatrical class that fuses Latin dancing (Cha Cha and Rhumba) with the cheeky moves of burlesque. So, bring your best sexy self and let’s have some fun! 1 class $18, 2 classes $30, 3 classes $45

    Terms & Conditions

    • Students need to bring their OWN water bottle to dance.
    • Please remember there is to be no food or drink in the dance space except water. Please also take your own food/drink waste with you as ACD has no regular rubbish removal/plus potential ant issues!
    • Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance and all students are encouraged to use this upon entry. Soap and water is available in the toilet.
    • Please do not attend dance classes if you are unwell, stay safe and rested at home. Please also advise us if you are diagnosed with Covid-19 and have been at dance.
    • All students are encouraged to not use phones whilst at dance.
    • Holiday workshops run at the discretion of ACD, if we do not get a minimum number of students booked into each workshop we may choose to cancel, and fees will be refunded.
    • Unfortunately there is no refunds for Holiday class bookings if you are unable to attend.

    Albany Contemporary Dance takes duty of care towards students very seriously. However, parents & students acknowledge that dance is a physical art form and there is a low risk of injury. Parents and students must also acknowledge that they have read and will abide by the Terms & Conditions.
