Make a Movie

Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd of July, 10am - 3pm @ Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 9 - 15. Doors open each day at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm.

At the end of the three days participants will walk away with their own group film as well as the skills to plan, film and edit a short film.

Game Design

Thursday 4th of July, 10am - 3pm @ Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm.

Why just play games when you can learn how to make them. In this workshop you’ll learn how to make 3 different types of games, using Gamemaker software, then get to play each others games. Super fun day for gamers!

Makeup SFX

Monday 8th of July, 11am - 1pm @ Filmbites, 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 10 - 17. Doors open at 10:45am and close at 1:15pm.

Taught by industry professional Stephanie Davis, learn the technical skills of Makeup SFX through the fun of doing it!

Animation

Monday 8th of July, 10am - 3pm @ Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm.

Learn the interface and navigation for Tahoma, a free software you can learn to use to create super fun animations. This is an exceptional skill to learn if you ever wish to work in the growing entertainment, content creation and resources industries.

Junior Screen Acting

Tuesday 9th of July, 10am - 3pm @ Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm.

This workshop is an introduction to acting in front of the camera! If you want to learn the important differences between stage and screen acting through creating your own scene this workshop is for you.

American Accent with Julia Moody

Wednesday 10th of July, 10am - 1pm @ Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 14 + Doors open at 9:45am and close at 1:15pm.

Julia Moody, who was Head of Voice in the Acting Department of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts for 21 years will be delivering an introductory workshop on American accents. The workshop will focus on how to learn accents, how to shift your voice to an American accent as well as the general components of a US accent.
