Come down to the Cygnet Town Hall for a movie, popcorn and drink during the school holidays. Come for one movie or come for all three (one ticket per movie required).
G rated movie: Turbo (2013): Turbo is rated as friendly for all ages. Turbo is a speed loving snail who has a dream of being the worlds fastest race car driver. He gets his chance when an accident leaves him with high octane speed. The G (General) classification means a film or computer game is suitable for everyone
PG rated movie: Beauty and the Beast (2017): In support of the Huon Valley Community Theatre Group, come along and watch the movie which has inspired their 2026 production. Belle a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Although afraid, Belle befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast's hideous exterior, allowing her to recognise the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides on the inside. A PG (Parental Guidance) classification advises that content is mild in impact but may contain elements like coarse language, mild violence, or confusing themes. It is not recommended for unsupervised viewing by children under 15, as parents may need to guide or explain certain scenes
M rated movied: Matrix (1999) is a sci-fi action film where humanity is unwittingly trapped in a simulated reality created by intelligent machines. The plot follows Neo, a hacker recruited by rebel leader Morpheus to uncover the truth and lead a rebellion to free mankind. The Matrix is considered a masterpiece because it seamlessly blended high-concept philosophy with groundbreaking, blockbuster action. It redefined science fiction by introducing "bullet time" special effects, incorporating Eastern martial arts into Western cinema, and exploring profound themes about reality and control (from Wikipedia). An M (Mature) classification advises that the content is moderate in impact. Films and computer games classified M (Mature) are not recommended for children under the age of 15. They can have content such as violence and themes that requires a mature outlook. Children under the age of 15 may legally access this content. Parents and guardians may need to find out more about the content in a film or computer game before deciding whether it is suitable for a child in their care.

- Do I need a ticket per person/family ticket for each person attending?
Yes. Each person will need their own ticket, or a family ticket to attend. We will be checking these at the door in line with our licensing agreement to show the movie.
- How many movies does my ticket cover?
It will cover just the movie you have selected on the ticket page.
- Do I need to accompany my child?
No, you don't need to accompany your child if they can sit through the duration of the movie. Note: The toilets are down stairs and we will not be able to escort your child to them.
If your child is 10 or under, you can attend at no cost to support them.Children aged 12 and under will not be permitted in the Matrix film. We recommend, in line with Government classifications, parental support for those aged 13-15, however this is your decision as a parent to make.
- Can I bring food and drink in?
Yes, you're welcome to bring drink and food in. Please make sure the drink is in a spill proof bottle for children, as we have a short turn around time between movies.
- Do we need to pay for the popcorn?
Popcorn is included in the price of your ticket.
- I have four friends who want to go, can we split the cost between us?
Yes, you can buy a family ticket for the four of you and split it up between yourselves.
