July Writing Workshop: Edit With Amy
Event description
Thursday July 24 at 9:30am PDT
Join Amy Cecil Holm, line editor and copy editor at Allegory Editing, as she demonstrates line and copy edits on participants' work.
Amy will share her suggested edits with the group, explaining her reasoning behind the suggestions and allowing everyone to see how she approaches a project. Learn more about how a copy editor works and how to apply similar techniques and concepts to your own projects.
If you'd like to submit a writing sample, please register for the event, then send 500 to 600 words of your manuscript in a Word document to amy@allegoryediting.com.
The sample can be from any part of a longer work. Please include the title and genre, and let Amy know if you'd like your submission to remain anonymous.
All writers are welcome to attend whether submitting a sample or not. The information will be applicable to writers of any genre. Based on time constraints, not all samples will be included.
