Event description

Thank you for engaging us to offer a nature-based play professional development experience for your staff.

WHO ARE WE?

Green Mountain Nature Play offers workshops for children, young people and adults that enable immersion in the natural world, encounters of awe, and practice of bush skills + bushcraft. We are a local business run by experienced outdoor educators and qualified teachers. We hold public liability insurance, and all staff have WWCC clearance and first aid certification.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Green Mountain Nature Play co-creates bespoke professional learning experiences for your team to meet your specific harvest - or needs. We are flexible in group size, workshop timing, days and location - and have access to a range of beautiful natural spaces on public and private land in the northern Shoalhaven. Workshops will reflect the season and draw inspiration from the location with invitations to lean against tall trees, feel wild salt spray on our cheeks or whittle by the warmth of the fire.

As outdoor educators, we embrace the elements and what they can reveal about our internal worlds. We learn through doing, discovering, testing, reflecting - and we use this approach with learners both young and older! Participants will be invited to get dirty, get creative and get grounded. We also practice self-determination and autonomy, so participants can observe, join in, take the lead or be at the sides as they feel to.

JUMBUNNA WORKSHOP SERIES

We understand that you are seeking workshops that take staff on a journey of ‘remembering the magic of outdoors’ as a wellbeing and team-building response to significant challenges the team are experiencing.

Know Thyself will be an opportunity for staff grounding into themselves as individuals, an invitation into reflective practice around purpose + a gentle building of team dynamics

DISCUSSION + INDUSTRY GUIDANCE: At the end of the Bush Play session, Fiona will offer 20min Q&A session about the theory, history and research support for nature-based education + share our story in establishing a small business for students considering their own early childhood outdoor recreation businesses.
