JUNE 2023 NAMBUCCA VALLEY WOMEN'S BUSINESS NETWORK DINNER
Welcome to meetings for 2023, where we can connect and share with the amazing women of the Nambucca Valley. Our next meeting will be held at Hot Myrtle Kitchen, Grassy Head. With winter on our door step, come and enjoy some great food and networking in front of the fire.
This event will also be a Nambucca Valley mid-winter fundraiser and awareness raising for ShoreTrack's Connections, their program developed for young women aged 13-17. Jill Ashley, General Manager of ShoreTrack, will be speaking at our June event to explain what the program is, how it helps young women, and what activities the money raised will support.
Connections incorporates accredited and non-accredited training, work experience, workshops, volunteering opportunities and team building exercises all designed to promote personal development based on interests and career pathways. The program will build the involvement of young women in their community and promote a positive sense of wellbeing through skills development and learning exchanges.
Connections will build skills in areas such as beauty, customer service, community services, media (podcasting and radio) and early childhood education, and the resulting self-confidence, wellness and resilience that comes from strength-based learning and feedback. Funds raised could be used to help the young women achieve accredited training outcomes which can lead to part time or full time employment opportunities. It could also provide the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transport and wrap around support they will need to be successful in this training.
Ticket cost includes: Complimentary glass of Mulled Wine on arrival.
