Charteris Cellar Door Pop Up & Dinner

Charteris Wines will be taking over the restaurant cellar for the evening. Enjoy a private cellar door tasting experience with Senior Winemaker and Wine Show judge PJ Charteris in the Local Connections restaurant. PJ is a renowned winemaker with a decorated winemaking past including developing the first Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay (Penfolds white wine version of their famous Grange range) before joining famed Hunter Valley wine producer Brokenwood Wines as head winemaker where he fine turned their wines for over a decade. Now making wines under his own brand, PJ will guide you through a tasting of his critically acclaimed Charteris Wines to start the evening. With your wine preferences in hand, buy your favourite wines from the bar and enjoy with a menu that embraces the beauty of winter produce. Chef Alex Hunter will craft dishes incorporating roasted red grapes, sweet and sour blackberries, poached rhubarb and ginger crumb. Choose to pair each course with ‘by the glass’ recommendations by PJ or buy a bottle, or glass, of your favourite Charteris wine.
