Description

The HOGS committee is excited to invite you to a special day at Narara Ecovillage

Location:  33 Gugandi Road Narara 2250

Date: Saturday 20th June 2026

Time: 10.00AM – 2:00PM

Narara Ecovillage is located on the beautiful Central Coast, just over an hour north of Sydney, Australia. Nestled in the bush and not far from pristine beaches, the Ecovillage is located just off the freeway to the city, minutes from modern conveniences and the train station, yet surrounded by magical Strickland State Forest.

The village was established in 2013 on a 57-hectare site that was formerly a government horticultural research station. In searching for a location to create the ecovillage, we discovered this unique property and transformed the existing buildings and citrus orchard into a thriving community. Today, the village is home to around 200 residents and is built on the principles of environmental sustainability and intergenerational living, with people ranging from infants to those in their 80s. Open days are held on the last Saturday of each month.
