June/July School Holiday Program Mon, Tues, Weds
Description
Join us Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday at a beautiful private property in Wallington/Ocean Grove. Surrounded by trees, open space, and wildlife, this holiday program is designed to nurture physical, emotional, sensory, and social development.
During these sessions we will explore nature connection, bushcraft techniques, fire, wood working, tools, group games and large loose parts/construction.
Activities and benefits young people can experience:
build with our large loose parts and natural materials
forage for items and weave them into your own creation
explore the space and enjoy some extended time outdoors with like-minded families.
pick up some new information on the plants and animals
We are 100% outdoors, in all weather. We know weather can be tricky but we believe in appropriate clothing and preparation. We only cancel if the weather conditions are dangerous - usually thunderstorms, high winds, or fire risk.
We keep a predictable rhythm of connection play and story. Flora and Fauna connection is a big part of our program with the group facilitated by an ecologist and teacher. We also have experienced playworkers and volunteers supporting us.
MULTI AGE GROUPS Our program targets children aged 0-12, with research consistently showing that younger children thrive by observing and learning from older peers, while older children build leadership and empathy skills. This approach fosters a rich, inclusive setting that supports a wide range of developmental needs.
NOT FOR PROFIT Born Wild Community is a charitable social enterprise, meaning all payments we receive are put back into improving our programs. We are required to meet minimum numbers and self fund ourselves. In the event a program does not meet minimum numbers, transfer to alternate days, or a full refund of the registration fee will be offered.
We know sometimes people get sick, they sleep in or its just not going to work on the day. We are unable to offer refunds but we're happy for you to join on another day for a make up session.
