🌓 Claire Birchall

Claire Birchall’s continuing evolution as a songwriter / performer plus her commitment to DIY and sincerity over irony make her one of the most compelling and long-standing members of the Melbourne music community. From stunningly raw confessions to big-time rock to pop songs lavished with fuzzed out guitar, Casio and loops, Claire continues to find new ways to present her material to audiences.

Following Claire’s successful debut synthwave album Running In Slow Motion (2020), her live EP 3x3 Live in Thornbury (2022) features three original tracks, as well as her cover of Iggy Pop’s ‘Isolation’. From the claustrophobic 'Quiet Time' with its hypnotic record crackling loop, to the banshee wailing of Wild, and powerful 80s influenced beats of Dance, this new batch of songs is evidence of Claire continuing evolution as songwriter and proof positive that she is not afraid to experiment and push her boundaries.

🌓 Banish

Banish are 3 people and a drum machine who reside in Melbourne, Australia. Their 2020 release Control Yourself is a collection of 8 tracks backed by the minimal snap of a drum machine. Recorded in the middle of 2019, the tracks capture the changing moods, the wistfulness and the far-away longings that accompany winter in the southern hemisphere.
