2026 marks Shopfront's 50th year of running collaborative workshops with Young People!

Work together to make a brand new show in this year's Junior Ensemble!

For any Shopfront participant aged 11-14, Junior Ensemble is the perfect opportunity to experience the joys and responsibilities of making a full-scale Shopfront show. Through Terms 3 & 4, you'll be working with our one and only Sophie Ward and Kevin Tran to deliver an original production in December. Whether this is your first taste or you're coming back for more, Junior Ensemble is for all Young People hungry for a new creative adventure.

Previous participation in at least one term of workshops is required to enrol in the Ensemble. Attendance is mandatory for all program dates listed below (barring illness).

Schedule

Rehearsals: Saturdays during Terms 3 + 4, 2pm - 5pm

+ Intensive Rehearsals:

Sun 13th September, 10am - 5pm
Sun 25th October, 10am - 5pm
Sun 22nd November, 10am - 5pm

Tech & Dress: Tue 1st & Wed 2nd December, 4pm - 8pm

Performance Call Times:

Thu 3rd December, 4pm - 8pm (7pm show)
Fri 4th December, 6pm - 8pm (7pm show)
Sat 5th December, 6pm - 8pm (7pm show)
Sun 6th December, 4pm - 6pm (5pm show)

Cost: $500 (Earlybird price: $450 until June 28th. Discount applied at checkout.)

Enrolment costs covers termly workshops, three intensive rehearsal dates and the performance week.
