Event description

Become a citizen scientist by learning how to use the iNaturalist app to record your observations of plants and animals. Get connected with a community of over 400,000 scientists and naturalists who can help you learn more about nature. Your contributions can create research quality data for scientists working to better understand and protect nature.

Put your walking shoes on, dress for the weather and explore the beautiful North Gardens wetlands trails and Ballarat Botanical Gardens at your leisure following the workshop.

At this family friendly event, Library staff will be on hand to assist with using the iNaturalist app, however we recommend installing it on your smart device prior to attending the workshop (requires Android 6.0 and up, Apple iOS 12.0 or later). If you need assistance with this, visit our website or call the Library on 5338 6850 to book a Technology Q&A session. Parental supervision and assistance are required for children to use and access the app.

Bookings are essential and required for all attendees, including children and their carers.
