    Special Olympics SA - Junior Gymnastics program

    Term 2, 2024: 8-week program - No Training on the 10th of June due to Public Holiday and on the 24th of June

    Join us for fun, fitness, and friendship! Special Olympics is sport, health, and personal development for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

    The ultimate outcome for everyone is to enjoy being active – and to stay active for life!  

    Sessions include:   

    • small-sided games that allow for high involvement   
    • games with modified rules, area and equipment to promote inclusion and prompt understanding
    • Health education and social activities  

    Your Goals
    The types of NDIS goals this program can help a person achieve include:

    • Social and Community Participation
    • Health and Wellbeing
    • Personal Development

    About Special Olympics Australia

    Special Olympics Australia provides weekly grassroots sporting opportunities, recreational, social and health programs for people with intellectual disability/autism to help them develop physical fitness, build self-esteem, demonstrate courage, and make friends.

    With a focus on participation, Special Olympics is a great vehicle for inclusion, social and community participation, health and wellbeing, and personal development outcomes.

    Please note that the program will not be running on the 11th of March and the 1st of April, due to public holidays.
