Junk Journal Gathering: An Afternoon to Play, Snip and Slow Down
Description
When did you last make something that didn't have to be anything?
Not a product. Not a post. Not a deadline. Just cutting, sticking, moving things around, changing your mind and letting the page become what it wants to be.
This is a relaxed afternoon for 8 women to gather around a table, put the world on pause and play with paper.
What is junk journaling?
Think scrapbooking meets collage. You layer old book pages, tickets, stamps, scraps, photos and packaging into a journal or onto card, giving beautiful bits and pieces a second life. There's no drawing skill needed and no "right" way to do it. If you can snip and stick, you're in.
What's included
A cosy space, set up and ready to walk into
A4 card and coloured paper
Collage stickers, washi tape, ribbon, paper scraps
Scissors, glue and a range of art mediums
Tea, coffee and chocolate bark (if you fancy it!)
What to bring
A journal or notebook to work in. No journal? An old paperback or an op shop find works perfectly. Or simply explore on loose paper and card.
A few paper scraps, magazines, photos or little treasures to play with. Old tickets, postcards, cards and pretty wrappers are ideal.
Who it's for
Anyone who'd love time to create without an outcome, in the company of like-minded women. No experience needed.
Come and take a breath. It's a gentle way to create a little space and come down from life.
